The Western Railway of the Mumbai Suburban Railway is the lifeline of the western and extended suburbs of Mumbai. Mira Road & Bhayandar are the railway stations on this line. Mira Road is one station after Dahisar.

After Bhayandar is the Vasai (Bassein) Creek bridge followed by Naigaon. Slow and fast trains between Churchgate, Dadar, Andheri & Borivali and Vasai Road/Virar operate from Mira Road & Bhayandar stations.

Bhayandar is also a terminal for a few trains, an immense convenience to residents here.Number of trains starting from Bhayandar has been considerably increased in recent times after the deployment of 4 railway tracks between Borivali and Virar.

This has been a crucial step to make train journey safer and comfortable for the residents of Mira-Bhayandar and rapidly increasing population of Bhayandar.
